Minimum Wage Rising In Newfoundland In April

The most recent increase to the minimum wage rate of $0.50 occurred on October 1, 2023, bringing the minimum wage rate to $15.00 per hour. However, effective April 1, 2024, the hourly minimum wage will increase to C$15.60.

Additionally, it is scheduled to further increase to $15.40 per hour on October 1, 2024, and to $16.00 on the same date. These adjustments are in line with the annual adjustments based on the consumer price index, starting in 2024.

    Left out the part about the rise in minimum wage being only for federal workers. Can’t even get equal pay for women under Furey.
