It is finally iceberg season in Newfoundland and Labrador, but it is so far lackluster and the massive icebergs are nowhere to be seen. According to a recent CBC article, the experts believe climate change is to blame and could result in fewer iceberg sightings this year and going forward.
I’ve been scouring the #icebergsnl hashtag on Instagram daily to see if anyone has spotted anything, but so far nothing. With tourism about to open back up, it would be a damn shame to not have these icebergs floating down the coast. With the past year and a half we’ve been having though, I honestly am not surprised we’re getting the short end of the icicle.
