Going viral on social media is key in this day and age to spread the word about your business or service, and it’s the best branding tool in your arsenal in our opinion. It also doesn’t have to cost thousands of dollars to achieve other, just some unique thinking and strategy done right. Every business is different, so you really need to tap into your audience in order to be pushed out to beyond just them.
Client: 10 Victoria Street
Since it was December at the Mummer’s Festival and Parade was coming shortly bringing in lots of people to town, as well the incoming influx of relatives needing a place to stay, we needed to get eyes on this historic vacation rental. We decided to go with humour as it is easily your best weapon when it comes to going viral.
From idea to production and of course the launch, we handled it all. Our Mummer’s viral campaign started with a trailer which teased the main video that was to come.

This started off great earning them a total of 38,928 views across Facebook/Instagram/TikTok just from the trailer alone.
The client was pleased with this initial bump as we were not quite expecting this to out to this many people. When you realize the total population numbers here in NL, we managed to reach quite a large chunk of them.
Viral Marketing Launch Day
We chose to launch the main video a few days before the Mummer’s Parade and Festival because of the timing. It’s just on a lot of people’s minds and they’re in the spirit of Mummering. Below is the full video, and as you can see, it’s not the most polished video but it was fun and it connected with the audience.

This campaign reached just over 150,000 people within just over a week’s time across all the social media platforms we launched the content on. Facebook really took off and managed to let people know about 10 Victoria Street and help brand this place into their minds.
